This controller is suitable for voltage controllable 1-phase motors and can be operated manually with an external switch (remote) of your choice.
The following switches are available:
A transformer (with 5 voltage sections) determines the voltage in each position of the remote switch.
Verify whether the motor (fan) is voltage-adjustable.
